And this turned out to be perfect idea, as the maps became the focal point in this larger space, and every time we have people over conversations start right there, and there is a lot to talk about nowadays looking at the world map… 

But of course, we were very particular about the design of the map – in must be 3d, wooden, and in all shades of brown to match the color scheme of our home.

And this colors and texture are just perfect!

I also love the look of a combination of the world map and the mid-century modern matte black chandelier when I am standing in the kitchen cooking something and looking towards this direction.

I feel like I planned perfectly for our height the position of the maps and the clock on the wall. This whole entire combination plays out perfectly together. 

Separately my heart sings when I talk about this breakfast table – it has a leaf in the middle and is expandable. So every time we hold a cozy friends game night (we love board games), we can expand the table, sit altogether under this soft light of our beautiful chandelier, talk about trips and adventures looking at the map and have such a fun time together!
